Beer reviews: Magic Hat Jinx

So let me start off by saying, if you don't care about beer, comment and I'll put you in the filter I just created so you never see these again.
When I was in Columbus last weekend, I stopped at Anderson's General Store and got some beer. A lot of beer, in fact. A guy in the aisle asked about reviews; I said while I had kept notes for a while, I never did anything with them, and confessed it was dumb. So now, amends.
Magic Hat calls Jinx a "Fall Strong Ale" on their site. For a fall ale, it's less... spicy than I'd hope. It's tasty enough, to be sure, and the hoppyness isn't particularly strong; In fact, it's barely noticeable. But if a Fall Strong Ale were what I wanted, I don't think I'd be happy with this choice.
On the other hand, I do like it. There's just a hint of something sweet, maybe Maple-y. And it's not devoid of spice.
The pint in my hand was procured on tap at the Harris Grill, 10/21/08.
